We are sending you the November issue of Newsbrief, a publication which aims at presenting the work done by the JPIC networks in Rome, the two Promoters groups and  the individual working groups is to serve the UISG and the USG and member Generalates to arrive at a greater awareness, clearer analysis and more effective action in the area of justice and peace and integrity of creation​.​

This issue gathers reflections and stories based on experiences of people who approach complex global social concerns with analytical perspective, convinced that solutions can be worked at the local level​.

Le​s​ enviamos la edición de noviembre de ​Mininoticias, una publicación que tiene como objetivo presentar el trabajo realizado por las redes de JPIC en Roma, los dos grupos de Promotores y los grupos de trabajo individuales ​que s​i​rv​en​ a la UISG y al USG y miembros de los​ Gener​elatos​ para llegar a una mayor conciencia, análisis más claros y acción más efectiva en el área de justicia y paz e integridad de la creación. 

Este número reúne reflexiones ​y cuentos​ basadas en experiencias de personas que abordan complejas preocupaciones sociales globales con una perspectiva analítica, convencidas de que las soluciones pueden ser trabajadas a nivel local.

Our school is commited to JPIC

• In the month of July, we had the inauguration of Eco Club which works with the Green line NGO of the Salesian fathers. The theme for this year was ‘Conservation of water’.
• We also participated in the competition organized by AOE (Archdiocesan Organisation for Protection of Environment).
• Collaboration with with “Sadhu Vaswani Mission” (Non-Christian) for Promotion of Peace.
• For Archbishop Inter Religious meeting held during the season of Advent on 18^th December, our students gave message on Forgiveness and Mercy which was well appreciated.
• Our Students participated sharing with less Fortunate groups at Christmas.

A Science Exhibition was held in our school on 31^st November to 1^st December 2017 wherein 34 schools participated in it. The students from different school girls, boys and co-ed presented their projects on How to protect the environment and How to use Renewable Energy for the Sustainable Growth. Few scientists from T.I.F.R. (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Colaba) interacted with our students and gave them valuable insights on our planet Earth and the universe. It was an enriching experience for both teachers and students.

autoridades,

amigas y amigos:

No puedo empezar este pregón sin compartir los sentimientos que, en este preciso momento, me tienen el corazón en un puño. Estoy en la Sagrada Familia, donde, como decía el poeta Joan Maragall, se fragua un mundo nuevo, el mundo de la paz. Y estoy aquí porque he recibido el inmerecido honor de ser la pregonera de un grandioso acto de amor que, en nombre de Dios, nos permite creer en el ser humano. Si me disculpan la sinceridad, pocas veces me he sentido tan apelada por la responsabilidad y, al mismo tiempo, tan emocionada por la confianza.

No soy creyente, aunque algún buen amigo me dice que soy la no creyente más creyente que conoce. Pero tengo que ser sincera, porque, aunque me conmueve la espiritualidad que percibo en un lugar santo como este y admiro profundamente la elevada trascendencia que late el corazón de los creyentes, Dios me resulta un concepto huidizo y esquivo. Sin embargo, esta dificultad para entender la divinidad no me impide ver a Dios en cada acto solidario, en cada gesto de entrega y estima al prójimo que realizan tantos creyentes, precisamente porque creen. ¡Qué idea luminosa, qué ideal tan elevado sacude la vida de miles de personas que un día deciden salir de su casa, cruzar fronteras y horizontes, y aterrizar en los lugares más abandonados del mundo, en aquellos agujeros negros del planeta que no salen ni en los mapas! ¡Qué revuelta interior tienen que vivir, qué grandeza de alma deben de tener, mujeres y hombres de fe, qué amor a Dios que los lleva a entregar la vida al servicio de la humanidad! No imagino ninguna revolución más pacífica ni ningún hito más grandioso.

Vivimos tiempos convulsos, que nos han dejado dañados en las creencias, huérfanos de ideologías y perdidos en laberintos de dudas y miedos. Somos una humanidad frágil y asustada que camina en la niebla, casi siempre sin brújula. En este momento de desconcierto, amenazados por ideologías totalitarias y afanes desaforados de consumo y por el vaciado de valores, el comportamiento de estos creyentes, que entienden a Dios como una inspiración de amor y de entrega, es un faro de luz, ciertamente, en la tiniebla.

TRAVAIL AVEC LES FONDATIONS

LE 9 JUIN 2016, Sœur Diane Fortier partait pour l’Équateur, pays secoué par des tremblements de terre. Quelques laïques et Sœur Jocelyne Belzile sont venues la rejoindre pour vivre un projet humanitaire à Cojimies, petit village de pêcheurs sur la côte du Pacifique.

Grâce aux Fondations : Rotary, Roncalli, Jean Coutu, Secours Tiers-Monde, Juntos Mejor et grâce aussi aux dons de laics engagés : Collège Jésus-Marie de Sillery, Elsa Quiroz, Pilar Maldonado, nous avons réalisé les projets et les activités suivantes :

¤ Réparation de maisons endommagées par les tremblements de terre

¤Achat de maisons en bambou pour quelques familles

¤ 22 salles de bain extérieures

¤ Jeux avec les enfants du quartier Los Ceibos, quartier  marginalisé de Cojimies

Le projet d’eau du village de Pueblo Nuevo à 4 kilomètres de Cojimies est complété grâce à la Fondation Rotary.



Tout cela peut se faire grâce à la belle collaboration de nos partenaires locaux, le maire et le maire-adjoint de Pédernales et les leaders communautaires.

Colegio Mérida: Campaña Tapatón 2016

El día 23 de Febrero del presente año, la Comunidad Educativa del Colegio Mérida aceptó la invitación de Amanc (Asociación Mexicana de Ayuda a Niños con Cáncer A.C.) para unirse a la Campaña Tapatón 2016 que consiste en la recolección y donación de tapas de cualquier tipo para apoyar al tratamiento de niños con cáncer.

El Consejo de alumnas de cada sección en coordinación con el Departamento de Servicio Comunitario, se dio a la tarea de concientizar a las alumnas no sólo de las bases de la campaña sino de percibir la dimensión y el destino de su ayuda.

Sorprendentemente, la campaña resultó mucho más que una avalancha de tapas por todos lados, un cúmulo de emociones, cooperación, compromiso y entusiasmo de parte de todos los miembros de la Comunidad Educativa. 

Fue un verdadero trabajo de equipo, los maestros motivando a las alumnas y contestando dudas que surgieron en el proceso, los trabajadores consiguiendo y trasladando las cajas con tapas de un lado a otro, los padres de familia apoyando a sus hijas comprometiéndose con esta tarea, y las alumnas poniendo el corazón en cada tapa que traían.

El 18 de marzo tuvimos el privilegio de conocer a 3 angelitos guerreros en la lucha contra el cáncer, a sus mamás y representantes del albergue de Amanc que vinieron a recibir la ayuda recolectada de más de media tonelada de tapas. Fue un encuentro muy emotivo donde las alumnas pudieron percibir la emoción de los niños al aceptar la ayuda, lo que generó un compromiso mayor con ellos que motivó a alargar la campaña por unos días más con iguales resultados. El 11 de mayo se entregó la última ayuda de más de 150 kg de tapas.

Quién nos iba a decir que recolectando tapas podíamos también recolectar tantas experiencias, bendiciones y bondades, de esas que se le desbordan a Dios cuando se comparte el corazón.

Coloreando la tierra en el Colegio Mérida

El día 26 de Abril del 2016 tuvimos una experiencia hermosa en la que pudimos compartir como familia, las hermanas mayores del bachillerato con las pequeñas de kínder, transitorio y preescolar. Fue una actividad planeada por el consejo de alumnas (bachillerato) en el marco de la primavera para promover el cuidado de nuestro planeta a través del reciclaje, la siembra de flores y semillas diversas y tener así mismo el privilegio de “Colorear la tierra” alegrándola con los regalos que papá Dios nos ha dado.

Las alumnas de tercero de bachillerato, de la mano de las alumnas de los 3 grados de preescolar, convivieron en distintas áreas del Jardín de Niños con su material, el cual consistió en llantas de desuso, unas pintadas de colores y otras tal cual para que pudieran ver el proceso de reciclaje, tierra, regaderas con agua, semillas y una planta en plena floración para que las pequeñas pudieran completar en su mente el camino que va desde la preparación de la tierra hasta el gozo de la flor y el fruto. Todo transcurrió en un ambiente de hermandad, en el que las hermanas mayores pudieron ser educadoras y las pequeñas aprendices mientras la música y las risas llenaban junto con la tierra sus caritas, sus manos y su corazón.

MODEL UNITED NATIONS

IX EDITION

On February 4, 2016 we held the 9th edition of IMRMUN (Instituto Mexicano Regina Model United Nations). The MUN is a simulation of UN sessions in which students assume the role of diplomats, representing various nations, debating, and reaching consensus to solve the problems currently affecting our planet. The conference is spoken entirely in English.

To achieve this, our students conducted prior research that allowed them to have a better view of the country, to find workable solutions represented in an atmosphere of cooperation, and tolerance that would promote peace and justice. Our students, along with guest students from Colegio Vista Hermosa, Colegio Columbia, Colegio Merici, Colegio Internacional de México and the Instituto Cumbres México, sought to find joint solutions to combat threats to international peace caused by terrorist organizations, analyzed the situation in Syria, nuclear waste disposal and protection of the environment, the nuclear situation in Asia and the Middle East, the refugee crisis in Europe, the safeguarding of the cultural heritage in war-torn countries as well as monitoring the financial crisis and conditions of life of citizens in Greece.

For this event we were pleased to welcome the Ambassador of Korea in Mexico, Dr. CHUN Beeho, who stressed the importance of collaboration between countries to solve international problems. We also welcomed of the Ambassador of Pakistan in Mexico, Mr. Aitzaz Ahmed, who addressed the involvement of Pakistan in the UN and its work to eradicate terrorism.

These academic exercises helped to give an answer to the 3rd priority of the Congregation of the Sisters of Jesus Mary looking for a way of life committed to justice, peace and integrity of creation.

For several years, some Canadian Sisters of Jesus and Mary have been working with Canadian GNO’s to improve living conditions : water, repairing schools, orphanages, houses, civil registrations of non-registered children and adults, health care improvement, computers, school supplies, uniforms, help in providing school fees, lunches, meals, scholarships.

Cinq villages de l’Équateur auront accès à l’eau potable grâce à la Fondation Rotary. Trente (30) salles de bains seront construites pour des familles défavorisées en Équateur grâce aux Fondations SECOURS TIERS-MONDE, RONCALLI et JEAN COUTU. Support médical, aide aux familles en difficulté, déjeuners scolaires, ameublement, fournitures et uniformes scolaires, aide aux frais de scolarité sont des projets dont le Nigéria, le Gabon, le Cameroun, la Guinée, le Pérou, le Pakistan et les Philippines ont bénéficié en 2015 et continueront de bénéficier en 2016 grâce à la Fondation L’APPEL DU PAUVRE.

In 2016, we are continuing to work with the ONG’s.

Five villages of Ecuador will have access to safe drinking water thanks to the Rotary Foundation.

Thirty (30) bathrooms will be built for families in need in Ecuador thanks to the Foundations SECOURS TIERS-MONDE, RONCALLI and JEAN COUTU.
Medical support, help to families in difficulties, school breakfasts, furniture, school supplies and uniforms, help in school fees are projects of which Nigeria, Gabon, Cameroun, Guinea, Peru, Pakistan and the Philippines benefitted in 2015 and will continue to enjoy in 2016 thanks to the APPEL DU PAUVRE FOUNDATION.

 Les Religieuses travaillent avec « Développement et Paix ».  Six paroisses ramassent des timbres qui seront vendus par cet organisme afin de répondre à différents besoins.

Famille Jésus-Marie.  Les Religieuses ont fait une activité de sensibilisation sur la privatisation de l’eau et des conséquences néfastes pour les agriculteurs.

ACTIVITÉ EN LIEN AVEC “DÉVELOPPEMENT ET PAIX”

The Sisters are working with « Development and Peace ».  Six parishes are collecting stamps that they give to the organization who will use the money to help people.

With the Jesus Mary Family, the sisters made an activity proposed by “Development and Peace” on the privatization of the water in some countries and the harm it causes to the farmers.
