On October 29, Sister Jean Quinn, President of UNANIMA International, was in our Province of Mexico and Cuba to deliver the recognition award for María Herrera Magdaleno, UNANIMA WOMAN OF COURAGE 2018.

El pasado 29 de octubre la Hermana Jean Quinn, Presidenta de UNANIMA Internacional, estuvo en nuestra Provincia, México-Cuba para entregar a María Herrera Magdaleno el reconocimiento UNANIMA MUJER VALIENTE 2018.

Le 29 octobre dernier, Sœur Jean Quinn, Présidente d'UNANIMA International, s'est rendue dans notre Province, Mexique - Cuba pour remettre à Mme Maria Herrera Magdaleno la reconnaissance "FEMME DE COURAGE 2018".

UNANIMA, Update for August... from Josée Therrien rjm

Chères soeurs, 
Comme vous le savez, on m’a demandé de prendre la relève de S.Kathleen Scalon comme personne-lien pour la Congrégation au sein d’Unanima International.  Je remercie sincèrement S.Kathleen de m’initier aux différents projets et dossiers.

Je vous invite à lire le Bulletin du mois d’août, mais permettez-moi d’attirer votre attention sur les 2 points suivants que vous retrouverez plus détaillés aux pages 1 et 5 :

1-    QUI SERA LE PROCHAIN SECRÉTAIRE GÉNÉRAL ? Il est intéressant de savoir que le processus est plus ouvert qu’auparavant et que 6 femmes sont proposées pour succéder à Ban Ki-moon.

 2-    AIDEZ-NOUS À TROUVER UNE FEMME DE COURAGE POUR 2017 ! Nous sommes invitées à envoyer une nomination pour le prix annuel « Femme de Courage ».  Voir les critères à considérer en page 5 du bulletin.  Si vous avez une suggestion, merci de me le dire le plus rapidement possible.

Así como ustedes saben, me han pedido tomar el relevo de S.Kathleen Scalon como persona contacto por la Congregación en el seno de Unanima International. Sinceramente agradezco a S.Kathleen por iniciarme en los diferentes proyectos y puntos.

Les invito a leer el Boletín de agosto, pero permítanme invitarles a poner su atención en los 2 puntos siguientes que ustedes encontrarán más detallados en las páginas 1 y 5:

1-    ¿QUIÉN SERÁ EL PRÓXIMO SECRETARIO GENERAL? Es interesante saber que el proceso es más abierto que antes y que 6 mujeres son propuestas para suceder a Ban Ki-moon.

 2-    ¡AYÚDENOS A ENCONTRAR A UNA MUJER DE VALOR PARA 2017!

Estamos invitadas a enviar un nombramiento para el premio anual “ Mujer de Valor ”. Ver los criterios que hay que considerar en la página 5 del boletín. Si tiene una sugerencia, gracias por decírmelo lo más rápidamente posible.

Dear sisters,

As you know, I have been asked to take over S. Kathleen Scalon’s role as contact person for our Congregation within Unanima International. I would like to thank S.Kathleen sincerely for having helped me to learn about the various projects and files. I invite you to read the August bulletin, but allow me to draw your attention to the following 2 points which you will find laid out in greater detail on pages 1 and 4:

1- WHO WILL BE THE NEXT GENERAL SECRETARY? It is interesting to note that the process is more open than previously and that 6 women are proposed to succeed Ban Ki-moon.

 2- HELP US TO FIND A WOMAN OF COURAGE FOR 2017! We have been invited to send in a suggestion for the annual prize awarded to a "Woman of Courage". See the criteria to be considered on page 5 of the bulletin. If you have any suggestions, I would ask that you please bring them to my attention as soon as possible.
